A Camellia Greeting

It is November 29, I am just getting back from another day at the hospital where JoAnne is hanging on by a gossamer thread. And I was greeted by the bevy of camellias having a fine day spilling all over themselves. Somehow a promise of color and movement, maybe even silliness is in offing.

Imagine flowers in November and December. That is part of the gift of living here in Northern California. We can imagine, but we can also get up close and personal too.

Thank you camellias. I will try to be better about watering you next summer.
