On the Rio Frio

We traveled more than 1 1/2 hours to get to a boat launch near The Nicaragua border. The River Frio is part of the series of protected wildlife areas and we went out on a boat to see birds and other critters.

We saw incredible stuff including capuchin monkeys, superb water birds drying their wings to be able to dive for fishes again, a lizard that looks like a set of green leaves, at least the male does. The female is very green and very lean and when she is on a fallen log looks like a shiny part of the log.
