Having had a bit of trouble with the photos, I missed the really odd scene of a small aircraft taking off on the tiny air strip. The plane crosses a main thoroughfare about halfway down the runway.

O well the photo failed to upload again…

Below we were on top of the rock having arrived via cable car and found ourselves in the company of the tailless monkeys when we heard the engines revving up. There is a short runway so they have to go like crazy to get the lift necessary. You can see the line of cars having been stopped.
