We went to Cou Cee the area stronghold of the Vietnam cong in the south. hiding from bombers was key to survival.
The tunnels were dug with the simplest tools – a hand tool and a basket to hold the soil to transfer to buckets.
There were tunnels to climb down but my claustrophobic self rejected that opportunity.
