A Day in the Life 2 Costa Rica February 2018

Our next stop was an elementary school where we were greeted by children in native fiesta dress. Each kid took two adults one in each hand to an open super-clean covered room.

They danced and sang their national anthem and then the teacher played our national anthem and we all sang. The Foundation associated with Overseas Adventure Travel supports 5 schools in Costa Rica. This is one of them.

It is a very spiffy school and is eight years old. The school community has grown from 45 when they began to 365 now and it is a public school. All schools have uniforms and a set of rules aimed at learning good behavior and respect for others.

Then we went to our lunch with a local family.
